October Campout on Saturday October 18

Posted on Oct 8 2014 - 7:35am

Our October campout will be held on Saturday and Sunday, October 18-19.  We will be backpacking in Harriman State Park.  This is often one of the best campouts of the year because of the beautiful fall foliage--and the lack of bugs! Please sign up.  The cutoff for signups will be next Monday night since we need to make all our plans at next Tuesday's meeting.  SIGN UP NOW!!

Posted on Sep 28 2014 - 4:18pm

As mentioned at our last couple of troop meetings, there are two merit badge opportunities that you should consider taking advantage of: Mr. Newbold is leading a group to work on Aviation (which will include a visit and tour at Westchester County Airport), and Mr. Byrne will lead a group doing Swimming.

ILST Training with Jr. Asst. Scoutmaster Jack Smith begins on Tuesday, 9/30/2014

Posted on Sep 26 2014 - 7:21am

Just as we did last year with our JASM Sean Byrne, this year Jack Smith will be leading the Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops training program.  The course is the first level of leadership skills training for scouts and it is open to all boys in the troop.  Ideally, everyone will have the benefit of this training at some point.
